Troubleshooting

INSERT Satellite Card message appears on the screen.

  1. Please insert the Satellite Card in the slot.
  2. Switch OFF and ON your Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box.
  3. If problem persists, please replace the viewing card.

Blank Screen.

Check connection of Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box with the TV set.

The remote control doesn't work.

  1. Open the rear panel of remote control. Check if proper batteries (A A sizes) are inserted.
  2. If the problem persists, check to see for proper connection of batteries.
  3. If remote control still does not work, replace the old batteries with new ones.
  4. Ensure that there is no obstacle between the Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box remote control and Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box unit.

Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box does not show POWER ON (No Indicator).

  1. Check for AC Mains Power switch if it is off. Please switch it on.
  2. Try and use different plug point.
  3. Be sure the power cord is plugged in and there is power.

DO’S and DON’TS.

  1. Do not drop, knock or shake the Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box or the remote. Rough handling can cause damage to the delicate electronic components.
  2. Do not attempt to repair or service the Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box or the remote control. Any such tampering with the devices may result in serious malfunctioning as a result of which the warranty shall be void.
  3. Do not use harsh chemicals or detergents to clean the Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box. Wipe it with a soft and dry cloth.
  4. Do not allow any kind of liquid to come in contact with the Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box.
  5. Only authorized BBCL trained personnel are authorized to conduct repairs.
  6. Non compliance of above can result in the warranty being null and void.
  7. Please make sure that the air vents of the box are not covered by anything to avoid temperature jam in the device. We recommend about 40 cm free space on the top of the Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box.

The remote control and the Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box don’t work / does not respond

  1. Unplug your Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box from the mains for a few moments and plug it back in.

The colors aren’t natural / Black & White pic.

  1. Check that the AV cables are correctly pushed into the socket of the various devices.
  2. Check if the TV supports PAL. If Both NTSC & PAL is available, switch to PAL.

No Sound

  1. Check if the sound is muted (press the unmute button)
  2. Check that the AV cables are correctly pushed into the socket of the various devices).

The sound is very low or inaudible.

  1. Check the volume of the TV set.
  2. Check the volume of the Satellite LCD/TV/DVD/Box.

How do I know that my transaction is confirmed?

  1. Once the transaction is successful, you will be diverted back to our website from the secure payment gateway and will view a confirmation page.

Pay Channels not available.

  1. Check the subscription details.
  2. Please also check if Satellite Card is correctly inserted or not

  2. If the customer has recharged and is not getting to view the services. (This scenario gets resolved by account refresh. But in few cases if it does not get resolved via a refresh then an engineer visit is required to swap the box.)
  3. In case the customers balance is over and he has not recharged he gets this E 16 - 4 message

TECHNICAL ERROR

  1. Please switch to some other channel to see if you can see the Video/Audio.
  2. Switch OFF your d2h product from the mains & after 15 seconds restart it.
  3. Please check that the signal cable from the antenna to your d2h product is connected Properly.
  4. Due to heavy rains or dense clouds the signal might have been lost, please wait till weather conditions improve.
  5. If the problem persists please call our customer care

Scenarios

  1. During Bad weather.
  2. During Solar Outage.
  3. If the signal cable is not properly connected.
  4. Reflector Mis-aligned.
  5. If weak signal strength in terms of quality.

How it gets resolved

  1. Mostly by resetting the box or by power cycling.
  2. In case of technical error engineer visit is noted in many cases.

E 107 - 4 Smart Card not paired with the Box
